Welcome to Machanic Technologies! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of repair and related services by Machanic Technologies (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to you, the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”). By submitting your device for repair or engaging with any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not proceed with our services.
Company: Refers to Machanic Technologies.
Customer: Refers to the individual or entity engaging the Company’s services.
Device: Refers to any Apple product (e.g., Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod) submitted by the Customer for repair, diagnostic, or related services.
Services: Refers to the repair, diagnostic, consultation, and any other services provided by the Company.
Repair: The process of diagnosing and fixing issues with the Device.
Before submitting your Device for Services, you agree to:
Data Backup: It is your sole responsibility to back up all data, software, and programs on your Device. While we take utmost care, data loss, corruption, or reformatting may occur during the repair process. The Company is not responsible for any loss, recovery, or compromise of data, software, or programs.
Remove Accessories: Remove any SIM cards, memory cards, cases, screen protectors, or other accessories from your Device. The Company is not responsible for any lost or damaged accessories.
Provide Information: Accurately describe the Device’s issues and provide any relevant information requested by the Company, including device passcodes/unlock patterns if necessary for diagnostic or repair purposes. If a passcode is not provided, our ability to fully test the device may be limited.
Disable Find My: For iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches, please disable “Find My [Device]” (e.g., Find My iPhone) before submitting for repair. Failure to do so may delay or prevent the repair.
Upon receiving your Device, the Company will perform an initial diagnostic assessment to identify the problem(s). Based on this assessment, we will provide you with a repair quotation outlining the estimated cost and timeframe for the Services. A diagnostic fee may apply, which will be communicated to you prior to the assessment. This fee may be waived if you proceed with the recommended repair.
Authorization: Services will only commence upon your explicit approval of the repair quotation.
Parts: We use high-quality, compatible, or OEM-grade replacement parts. While we strive to use genuine Apple parts where available and necessary, the use of non-genuine parts may be required to complete the repair. The Company reserves the right to use parts that are new or previously used but fully functional and tested.
Unforeseen Issues: During the repair, unforeseen issues may arise that were not apparent during the initial diagnosis. In such cases, we will contact you to explain the new findings and provide a revised quotation for your approval before proceeding.
Repair Timeframe: Estimated repair times are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to part availability, complexity of the repair, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Quotation: All quotations are valid for a specified period (e.g., 7 days) and are subject to change if the Device’s condition changes or unforeseen issues arise.
Payment: Full payment for Services rendered is due upon completion of the repair and before the Device is returned to you. We accept [list accepted payment methods, e.g., cash, credit/debit card, bank transfer].
Diagnostic Fee: If you choose not to proceed with the repair after diagnosis, the diagnostic fee (if applicable) must be paid.
Warranty Period: We offer a limited warranty on our repairs, covering the specific parts replaced and the labor performed for a period of [e.g., 90 days / 3 months] from the date of Device collection. This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship related to the repair performed.
Exclusions: This warranty does not cover:
New issues unrelated to the original repair.
Damage caused by accidental drops, liquid exposure, misuse, abuse, or unauthorized alterations after the repair.
Pre-existing conditions or issues not directly related to the original repair.
Software issues, including virus infections or operating system problems, unless explicitly part of the original repair.
Voiding Warranty: The repair warranty will be void if the Device shows signs of tampering, unauthorized repair attempts by third parties, or physical/liquid damage occurring after our service.
Manufacturer Warranty: Our services are independent of Apple Inc. and may void your original manufacturer’s warranty or AppleCare+ coverage. The Company holds no responsibility for the status of your manufacturer’s warranty after our services.
Data Loss: The Company is not liable for any loss of data, programs, or information on the Device, even if a backup was performed.
Pre-existing Conditions: The Company is not liable for any pre-existing defects, damage, or issues with the Device that were not caused by our repair services.
Consequential Damage: In no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from the Services provided.
Maximum Liability: The Company’s maximum liability for any claim arising from the Services shall be limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the specific repair service.
Collection Period: Customers must collect their repaired Devices within [e.g., 30 days] of being notified of completion.
Storage Fees: Devices uncollected after this period may be subject to a daily storage fee.
Disposal: Devices uncollected after [e.g., 90 days] from the notification date may be disposed of or recycled at the Company’s discretion, without further notice, to recover repair and storage costs. The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage to uncollected Devices.
Your privacy matters to us. We collect necessary personal information, such as your name, contact details, and device information, solely for the purpose of providing our repair and related services, processing payments, and communicating with you about your repair. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data and will not share or sell your information to third parties for marketing purposes. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Machanic Technologies reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The updated Terms will be effective upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
