How long does a typical repair take?
Repair times can vary depending on the issue and part availability. Simple fixes like screen replacements or battery swaps for iPhones and iPads can often be completed the same day (sometimes even within a few hours!). More complex repairs, especially for Macs or severe liquid damage, might take 2-5 business days or longer as they require more intricate work or specific part ordering. We’ll always give you an estimated timeframe when we provide your quote.
Will my data be safe during the repair?
We treat your data with the utmost care and privacy. However, to be absolutely safe, we strongly recommend backing up your device to iCloud or a computer before bringing it in for repair. While data loss is rare, it can happen, especially with logic board or storage-related issues. We want to ensure your precious memories and important files are always secure.
Do you use genuine Apple parts?
We prioritize quality and reliability. We primarily use high-quality, OEM-grade (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts that meet industry standards. For certain critical components, we source genuine Apple parts where available and necessary to ensure optimal performance and compatibility. What about my Apple warranty or AppleCare+?
As an independent repair specialist, repairs performed by Machanic Technologies may void your official Apple warranty or AppleCare+ coverage. However, many of our customers choose us for our specialized expertise, faster turnaround times, and competitive pricing, especially for issues not covered by Apple’s limited warranty (like accidental damage). We’re always happy to discuss your options!
Do you offer a warranty on your repairs?
Absolutely! We stand by our work. All repairs performed by Machanic Technologies and we offer a standard warranty period of 30 to 90 days warranty depending on the parts and inclusive of labor. If the same issue reoccurs within this period, bring it back, and we’ll make it right at no extra charge. Your peace of mind is our priority!
What if you can't fix my device?
While we have a very high success rate, some devices are simply beyond economical repair (BER) or too severely damaged. If we determine that your device can’t be fixed, or if the cost of repair outweighs the value of the device, we’ll let you know honestly during the diagnostic phase. In such cases, a diagnostic fee may apply, but we’ll never charge you for a full repair if it’s not possible.
Can I get my old parts back?
Generally, replaced parts are retained by Machanic Technologies for proper disposal or recycling. If you have a specific request to retain your old parts, please let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate, though this may not always be possible for all components.
